About Me
I'm Melissa, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) specializing in trauma (including PTSD and complex trauma), grief and loss, and relational issues. I help children, individuals, and couples navigate challenges, heal from past wounds, and build stronger, healthier connections. I use EMDR therapy to support healing from trauma, anxiety, grief/loss, and emotional pain. I also have advanced training in Conjoint EMDR for couples and Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy for Adults (AFTT-A), which means I can help you or you and your partner work through difficult experiences in a safe, structured, and compassionate way. For couples, I also bring in tools from the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) in which I have advance training in to improve communication, rebuild trust, and create deeper emotional intimacy. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your relationship, or your child, I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward.
Education & Experience
Education: Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, California State University of San Bernardino.
