About Me
I struggled with anxiety since childhood and have been diagnosed with PTSD, Separation Anxiety, and Panic Disorder. Since I have been treated with EMDR and done a great deal of self-help exercises I have none of those symptoms. It has been quite a journey. I can speak from having been both a therapist since 1987 and also a client from time to time.
Education & Experience
I graduated Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in 1996 Summa Cum Laude (GPA 3.9) and have been recognized by the Missouri Psychological Association for Distinguished Service for 30 years in private practice. I am a veteran and a large portion of my practice are veterans who I see as clients. In addition, I provide Compensation and Pension evaluations through several organizations including QTC, LHI, and VES.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a member of the Missouri Association of Psychologists (MOPA) since 1997 and work with both civilian and military populations in the evaluation and treatment of PTSD. I am prior military and served in the Army Reserves from 1968-1974 as a Medic. I am a member of the American Legion and a contributor to the Wounded Warrior Project. My work is evaluated on www.healthgrades.com. I have led men's groups for the Mankind Project and have since 1993.
