About Me
Hello! My name is Michael Pounds and I am an adjunct professor in the Department of Marriage and Family Studies at Abilene Christian University as well as a marriage and family therapist at the ACU Medical and Counseling Care Center (MaCCC). I also conduct therapy in private practice in Abilene, Texas, working primarily with couples going through affair recovery and working with individuals healing from past traumas through EMDR. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy and an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Prior to that I earned my bachelor's degree at Oklahoma Christian University, double majoring in Psychology and Vocational Ministry and minoring in International Studies.
