About Me
*At this time only accepting couples for new openings* Even when we avoid change, reality demands we adapt to new circumstances within us and around us. Psychotherapy can help you intentionally evolve, find the joy in growth, and avoid unnecessary suffering as you navigate life. In our work together we will: look at how you have already adapted to survive, explore how the past has shaped your perspective, examine internal and external barriers to the changes you seek, develop acceptance and coping strategies for your reality, observe negative cycles in your relationships, and set a path towards your goals and priorities. Effective psychotherapy is rooted in the therapeutic relationship. I will be supportive and accepting while making space for humor and new ideas. My work is ethical, intentional, and evidence-based, including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT). I practice in Vermont (in-person and teletherapy) and Florida (teletherapy only). My areas of specialty are male survivors of abuse and neglect and survivors of recent traumatic events. I also work with couples utilizing Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
Education & Experience
M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Vermont; B.A. in History from University of Vermont.
