About Me
I am a bilingual psychologist (Italian/English) with 20 years of experience in England, where I worked in the mental health sector, first in London, and then with the national English project called IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies NHS England » NHS Talking Therapies, for anxiety and depression) in Oxford and, until January 2024, in Nottingham.
I now practice as a freelancer and in private practice, offering support to adults and couples using evidence-based approaches. I have a particular interest in depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and distress related to physical illnesses and chronic pain.
"Be grateful for your triggers. They show you where you're not free." This quote sums up my outlook on life and automatically influences my clinical work. I myself have suffered from depression and trauma, and I know how difficult it is to begin a journey of recovery! I confess it wasn't easy. It took time, but it was so worth it!
I use a personalized style aimed at meeting the unique needs of each patient, fostering a safe and welcoming environment for personal growth.
The clients who get the most out of therapy with me are those who take responsibility for their own happiness, who are willing to step out of their comfort zone, question what isn't working for them, and make room for uncomfortable feelings if it helps them live the life they desire.
