About Me
I work with clients facing infidelity, PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and sexual trauma using trauma-informed, evidence-based tools such as EMDR for adults and couples. Not everyone needs therapy, and not every approach is right for every person. What I learn about you shapes the way I work with you. Together, we’ll build a plan that fits, and by the second or third session we’ll have a clear direction forward.
Education & Experience
My path began with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counseling, followed by an LPC internship (1998–2001) in settings ranging from emergency psychiatric care to trauma, geropsychiatry, and probation/parole substance abuse evaluations. Licensed in Texas since 2001, I’ve maintained a private practice while supervising 15 therapists to licensure as an LPC-S since 2006. In 2019, I earned my Doctor of Health Administration, expanding my focus on systems and access to care. Since 2009, I’ve taught courses for helping professionals and consulted for SMU’s Perkins School of Theology for over 20 years. These experiences shaped a practice rooted in science, faith, and compassion.
