About Me
I am an EMDR-Certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides trauma-informed, compassionate care for individuals seeking healing from painful life experiences. I believe that symptoms are not signs of weakness, but evidence of the nervous system doing its best to survive overwhelming events.
In my work, I use EMDR therapy to help clients safely reprocess distressing memories, reduce emotional reactivity, and reconnect with their sense of self, safety, and purpose. I take a warm, collaborative approach—moving at a pace that honors each client’s readiness while ensuring they feel grounded, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, attachment wounds, and adverse childhood experiences. My clinical style integrates EMDR with nervous-system regulation, resourcing, and strengths-based interventions, allowing clients not only to heal the past, but to build resilience for the future.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they move from survival into restoration, clarity, and renewed hope.
Education & Experience
I obtained my Master’s degree in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling in 2014. I am EMDR-trained and EMDRIA-certified and have been practicing EMDR therapy for several years with individuals presenting with trauma, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring concerns.
My clinical experience includes working in residential treatment settings for substance use and co-occurring disorders, outpatient therapy, group practice, and private practice. This diverse background allows me to adapt EMDR therapy to meet clients where they are, across varying levels of care and clinical complexity.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am actively involved in my local public school district as a volunteer consultant, supporting school counselors with mental health–related questions and resources.
Additionally, I provide leadership within a women’s Bible study group and volunteer with my local Boy Scouts of America Pack and Troop, offering guidance and support related to social-emotional development and well-being.
