Nathan Staley, MA LPC

Preferred Name: Nathan

About Me

I focus on the 'working alliance' between counselor and client, not merely a conversation, but a powerful space of unconditional personal acceptance, building relevant goals, fostering honest curiosity, and exploring new perspectives. As your counselor, I'd like to help you feel equipped and empowered toward meaningful change. My goal is to be open minded with therapeutic approaches that can work, sometimes it resembles the structure of Cognitive Behavior Therapy or EMDR, sometimes it may be more about the creativity of two people truly communicating (or learning what that looks like) and working on a problem than a technique.

Education & Experience

I completed my Master's and counseling exam in 2015 and began practicing under supervision at various centers, treatment programs and community agencies, attaining full LPC and EMDR certification in 2019. In 2020 I began full-time with this practice and continue to frequently work with PTSD, low self-esteem, identity exploration and anxiety disorders.
