"How could psychological, physical and relational health be enjoyed while individuals are functioning in high stress environments? How can chronic stress related illnesses be prevented?" These questions started a 20 year journey of ongoing learning with the hope to help more people build a solid foundation for true health and overcome the psychological barriers and trauma related adaptations that stand in the way of experiencing vitality and real aliveness. Noha is the founder of Counseling & Therapeutic Wellness, LLC in Portland Oregon. She is a certified EMDR therapist, EMDRIA approved consultant in training, mindfulness and mindful movement teacher, certified integrative mental health professional and a consultant for clinicians interested in culturally attuned integrative care. In 2006, Noha started helping chronically stressed individuals strengthen their psychophysiological resilience against lifestyle / traumatic stress related diseases by offering mindfulness and somatic approaches practical trainings. Through offering health education on nutrition, lifestyle habits and mindful movement, Noha coached and educated professionals and families across the US and internationally as a master certified health coach; years prior to becoming a licensed mental health clinician. Decades of practicing and adjusting mind body modalities, breathwork and different somatic approaches to meet diverse abilities and cultural backgrounds; contributed to a deeper clinical interest in somatic trauma treatment approaches.
