Education & Experience

Ola is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors BCACC. Ola brings in over two decades of experience in the fields of mentoring, supervision and clinical counselling. She is a lifelong learner; she holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and a Master’s in Human Rights and Education. Ola is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) - a form of psychotherapy to help trauma survivors process their troubling memories and beliefs. She also practices Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples - to identify their unconscious needs that cause arguments and discomfort. She is also trained in Satir Transformational Therapy, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). Both modalities are based on the innate, hard-wired and recoverable healing capacities of humans. Ola is also trained in motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, clinical hypnotherapy and sand tray techniques.
