About Me

I love my work and the reward of witnessing positive growth and change in my client’s lives. As a licensed clinical social worker, I have over 25 years of experience in helping people improve their emotional well-being and overcome life’s challenges. Before starting my psychotherapy practice I was fortunate to build my skills through work in community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, child welfare, medical social work, and corporate settings. In my work I frequently utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to alleviate feelings of anxiety, sadness and anger, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to heal traumatic experiences and change self-limiting beliefs and patterns of behavior, and mindfulness and lifestyle-based approaches to promote overall well-being and happiness. I am certified in Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment for clients who experience trauma related dissociation or have Complex PTSD. I am also level II certified in EMDR through the EMDR International Association and have been using this modality extensively for over a decade. If you feel ready to explore the process of healing and change, or simply want more information, please feel free to contact me using the information in this listing.
