About Me
You are worthy of care, empathy, and a safe space in which you will be heard and validated. Let's accelerate your therapeutic progress and lessen the impact of past traumas on your daily functioning and life enjoyment. Inner Arrow Counseling and Wellness was mindfully founded with intention; my practice is client-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed, providing support customized to your specific needs and goals. You may choose to engage in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) as a standalone treatment or integrated into talk therapy. For talk therapy, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, and Emotionally Focused Therapeutic approaches with individuals, couples, and families. My specialized populations include LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families, as well as parenting support for parents of LGBTQ+ children. I work with clients teen age through elder adulthood in-person in Ramsey, NJ and via telehealth in New Jersey and Florida.
Education & Experience
Prior to founding Inner Arrow Counseling and Wellness, I enriched my counseling experiences in diverse settings including mental health group practice, community services, career development, and graduate and undergraduate student advisement and higher education leadership positions at Columbia University, Fordham University, and Montclair State University. I hold an M.A. in Counseling from Montclair State University, a B.S. in Culture and Communications from New York University, and completed additional masters level coursework in Clinical Psychology at Teachers College as well as Managing Human Behavior in Organizations and Conflict Management at Columbia University. When I worked at Montclair State University's LGBTQ center, I designed and implemented safe space education, engaged in community outreach and advocacy, and provided individual and group counseling to LGBTQ+ students. I was awarded the Trailblazer Pride Award by Montclair State University, a leadership award "presented to an outstanding LGBTQ-identified student, faculty, or staff member at Montclair State University who, through their dedication, left their mark on campus and paved the way for others to follow."
