Mrs. Rebecca Joy Shue, LCSW
About Me
My Christian faith shapes my worldview, and I enjoy working with individuals who would like to integrate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process. I find great satisfaction when working with individuals with trauma related issues. I have worked extensively with parent/teen relationship issues and family relationship issues. When working with couples, I work to avoid using counseling sessions as a time to cycle in and out of conflict, but rather encourage the counseling sessions to be used as an opportunity to learn new skills, to more successfully communicate needs, increase vulnerability, and to deepen intimacy. Issues of faith, forgiveness and the re-instillation of hope, love, and intimacy are of great importance to my process.
