About Me
Hi, I'm Becki! I know all too well that uncomfortable, nervous feeling of reaching out to a therapist for the first time, or maybe you're trying YET again to find the one that really clicks so, needless to say, I'm glad you've made it this far! Many of my clients come to me because they are exhausted from these patterns of behavior that continue to undermine their own happiness. I get it. I grew up chasing this idealistic version of happiness that ultimately left me feeling more and more defeated and isolated. It wasn't until I committed to looking internally, with the help of others, that my true healing began. I started living my life, rather than just existing in it. I work with adults specializing in complex trauma, eating disorders and have a special interest in helping people heal their relationship with food and their body . I utilize a trauma informed lens in my work and we may incorporate a variety of different approaches that cater to your specific needs. There is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. We may use a combination of EMDR, Parts work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to guide your treatment and achieve your goals. I also practice from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective, meaning that health exists on a continuum, and I will always respect and celebrate the inherent diversity of every body, shape and size.
Education & Experience
I received my Bachelors Degree from Elon University in North Carolina and I continued my education and training at the University of Southern California, where I received my MSW. I am licensed in the State of California LCSW# 95510.
