About Me
Hi! My name is Rebecca! When I'm not guiding my clients through their therapeutic journey, you can often find me outdoors, whether it’s hiking in the forest or simply enjoying the peace of nature. Yoga is also an essential part of my life, helping me stay grounded, present, and balanced. I bring this same sense of calm and mindfulness into my practice, supporting clients to cultivate resilience, self-awareness, and lasting change.
Education & Experience
As for my education and credentials, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapist's of Ontario (CRPO). I have a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, an Undergraduate degree in Forensic Psychology and a minor in Criminology and Justice. I also possess a Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions from Durham College. Can you tell that I love learning? I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a deep commitment to trauma-informed and trauma-focused care. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, an Undergraduate degree in Forensic Psychology with a minor in Criminology and Justice, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions from Durham College. I believe my educational background reflects a strong foundation in understanding the complex intersections of trauma, mental health, and behavior. My therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma theory and shaped by a deep respect for each individual’s unique healing journey. I draws on a range of evidence-based modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Theory approach, while consistently maintaining a trauma-informed lens that prioritizes safety, empowerment, and collaboration. At the heart of my practice is a belief in the resilience of the human spirit and that knowledge is power. I attempt to create a space of compassion, client-centered where individuals can begin to process and make meaning of their experiences, reconnect with their inner strengths, and move toward healing and post-traumatic growth.
