About Me
My name is Rebecca Rosalez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with additional training to provide supervision to other clinicians seeking licensure (LCSW / TX 57211). I am also licensed to practice in D.C.(License# LC50081554), Florida (License #TPSW3270) Maryland (License #30336) and Utah (License #10462489-3501). As a EMDRIA Certified therapist (EMDRIA Member ID: 55273690) I specialize in helping trauma survivors by the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Additional therapeutic tools I use for trauma are Somatic Experiencing and Brainspotting. We will work together to reprocess your trauma to help you see and experience distressing images and memories in a new and less painful way. I am a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) which means I have completed a minimum of 50 hours of education to further develop the tools needed to effectively reach and support first responders with cultural competence, expertise, confidence, and empathy. I am a Certified Grief Educator, trained by renowned Grief Expert David Kessler, helping clients in grief find peace after even the most devastating losses. I am a Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) and Level 3 Practicum Trained therapist in the Gottman Method. I support couples who are struggling with communication difficulties, infidelities and/or are at odds with one another because of differing life goals, interests, or opposing values. I provide Discernment Counseling for those couples who are on the fence about ending the relationship / marriage. I am a LGBTQ+, sex positive, kink and poly / ethical non monogamy affirming clinician.
Education & Experience
I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work in 2006. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Houston - Central Campus in 2002.
