Rebecca Swopes is a dedicated counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals in various settings, including private practice, secondary schools, and correctional institutions. Her broad clinical background empowers her to address a diverse range of client needs and foster personal growth in those she serves.
Education & Experience
With a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in counseling, I have experience working in metropolitan, rural, and inner-city schools, correctional settings, community outreach, and private mental health practice. Each setting has contributed to my personal and professional growth and education, allowing me to provide empathetic, compassionate, and direct care. These settings have provided insight into counseling clients who have experienced trauma, PTSD, ADHD, Autism, grief, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, educational stressors, and overall interpersonal stress through a whole-person approach.
