About Me

I am a German-speaking clinical psychologist based in Perth, Western Australia, working in private practice as a therapist, couples therapist, and board-approved supervisor. I am also the founder of mindfulness2be and co-director of the Mindfulness Training Institute of Australia (MTI), where I support the integration of contemplative and compassion-based practices into trauma-informed care. My clinical work spans individual and couples therapy, with a strong focus on mindfulness, self-compassion, and trauma recovery. I am trained in EMDR, including attachment-informed and relational integrative approaches, and regularly incorporate parts work into my sessions. I also work with couples using the Gottman Method and mindfulness-informed relational frameworks. In addition to my therapeutic work, I facilitate trauma-informed group therapy and offer global consultation in mindfulness and self-compassion. I host the podcast From the Therapy Room, where I share stories and reflections that emerge in the sacred space of therapy—inviting deeper connection, courage, and insight.

Education & Experience

I am a clinically trained psychologist originally educated in Berlin, Germany, with formal qualifications in Clinical Psychology. I hold certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am a certified teacher in Mindfulness-Based Programs (MBPs). I am also an AHPRA-endorsed supervisor, supporting the development of clinicians across Australia. Currently based in Perth, Western Australia, I bring a deep commitment to supporting individuals in their recovery from trauma, chronic stress, and emotional pain. My therapeutic work is informed by evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, parts work, mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, and attachment-based models. For over 13 years, I served as a Clinical Manager at a major university in Perth. In this leadership role, I supervised highly experienced psychologists, provided strategic guidance in complex clinical matters, and developed a trauma-informed response to critical incidents across campus. I was instrumental in integrating mindfulness and meditation into student and staff wellbeing services, creating opportunities for contemplative practice within a high-performing academic environment. During my time in higher education, I also designed and facilitated group programs addressing issues such as adjustment, anxiety, trauma recovery, and self-compassion. Additionally, I provided staff support around burnout prevention, psychological safety, and career development, helping shape a mentally healthy workplace culture.
