About Me
I believe there is incredible potential and hope for each person to have a fulfilling and meaningful life, even despite challenges in a person's background or current stressful situation. Each person possesses the resources within themselves to create the change they desire. Counseling simply facilitates unlocking those resources as providing additional "tools" for desired change. I enjoy working with a variety of people and consider it a pleasure to listen, encourage, offer these additional tools to move closer to a person's desired goals, healing, and happiness. I have a passion for primarily working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, or making a behavior change.
Education & Experience
I have extensive experience in working with individuals trying to calm their anxiety, trying to overcome addiction, working through an emotionally painful past, as well as assisting women on their family-planning and fertility journey. I have also worked with weight loss and meeting health/fitness goals. I have worked in anxiety-focused private practice for a number of years. Previously, I worked at an Employee Assistance Program with company employees with work-related stress, in a group practice for 6 years, and have worked in a sole private practice for 10 years. I graduated with a Masters in Psychology with a Clinical Counseling Specialty (MA) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2009.
