About Me

I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in working with adults navigating the complicated landscapes of trauma, grief and loss. From the death of a loved one or an unexpected cancer diagnosis to pregnancy loss and infertility, losing someone or something important is life changing. We also contend with loss on a regular basis - with aging, as relationships change, as people come to terms with painful experiences and realities. Loss even exists during exciting changes and transitions, which can feel unwelcome and confusing. Grief often opens the door to unexamined trauma that we just haven't had the time or space to address. After all, life keeps moving, even during the most unimaginable losses, so surviving often becomes the most important (and only) thing to do. Using a blend of EMDR, DBT, parts work and psychodynamic therapy, I create safe, supportive spaces for clients to honor and explore the role that grief and unprocessed trauma may be playing in their suffering, helping them not only survive but ultimately learn how to live and thrive alongside these experiences.
