Sarah Drake, LCSW
(She/Her)
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have spent the past 8 years in private practice focusing on grief, loss, and trauma, with specific focus upon traumatic grief as well as spiritual and attachment trauma. I believe in an integrative- mind, body, and spirit- approach to therapy. I am dedicated to fostering an environment in therapy where clients can connect to their inherent strengths and capacity toward growth and healing.
Education & Experience
I received my MSW from Baylor University and my undergraduate in social work from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I have 15 years of experience working with individuals and families in a variety of contexts. I began my career working through Central Counties Services providing Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services to children with disabilities and their families in the home. Working with children and families is where I first became passionate and dedicated to integrating an attachment informed approach to my work with clients. In 2012, I transitioned to Baylor Scott & White Health where I began providing support for the psychological and social needs of patients with issues related to trauma, complex and chronic illness, death, grief and loss. I spent my final years at Baylor Scott & White Health embedded within the oncology and hematology departments. I had the honor and privilege of walking alongside patients and their families to serve and address the complex needs associated with cancer treatment.
