About Me
I’m a therapist who believes healing doesn’t have to feel heavy every second, you’re allowed to smile, breathe, and even have a little fun while doing the hard work. I’m a proud dog mom of three, an adventure chaser at heart, and someone who fully believes life should be lived now, not “when we retire.” My approach is trauma informed, client centered, and rooted in real-world understanding. I meet clients with compassion, directness, and the belief that healing is absolutely possible, no matter how heavy the past has been. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and capable of building a life that no longer revolves around old pain.
Education & Experience
I am a licensed clinical social worker and EMDR therapist with a strong passion for helping individuals heal from trauma and reclaim a sense of safety and self-trust. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Drug and Alcohol Addiction (2012) and my Master of Social Work (2016) from Boise State University. I began my career in the child welfare system, where I witnessed how deeply trauma can shape a person’s life. I know what it feels like to sit with painful memories, to feel stuck, and to wonder if healing is even possible. I also know what it feels like to reach the other side of that work. Those experiences help me bring empathy, groundedness, and authenticity into every session.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I bring a strong commitment to service and community involvement that informs my trauma-informed, relational approach to therapy. I have volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club, facilitating skills-based groups and supporting youth in the development of emotional regulation and coping skills. I have also volunteered at homeless shelters, providing direct support to individuals and families experiencing housing instability, and with the Idaho Veteran’s Home, where I offered companionship and support to veterans in a residential care setting. Additionally, I served as a volunteer foster with the Idaho Humane Society, caring for kittens and dogs in need of safe, nurturing environments. For six years, I was a Big Sister, providing consistent mentorship and support to promote resilience and healthy development.
