About Me

Sarah is a genuine, culturally competent and compassionate clinician that specializes in treatment of adverse life events and occupational stress injuries. She has over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field, having graduated in 2005 with a Master’s in Forensic Psychology. Sarah is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified First Responder Counselor, a Licensed Addictions Counselor. She offers a variety of evidence-based, therapeutic approaches to help reduce symptoms of occupational stress injuries, learn coping skills and build resilience. Each approach is tailored based on a collaborative, strengths-based fit to match the needs, goals and performance of the individual. Sarah is passionate about working with First Responders/Front-Line workers, their loved ones, all legal professionals (dispatchers, coresponders, crime scene technicians, probation/parole officers, etc) and all survivors of trauma; be it vicarious, indirect or direct. She is the wife of a law enforcement officer and has worked alongside deputies at a county jail earlier in her career. Sarah enjoys training, facilitating groups and providing consultation to help reduce the impact of cumulative stress and improve awareness of post traumatic stress, while helping to build resilience. Sarah also provides supervision to clinicians working toward Addiction Certification, Professional Counselor Licensure and/or EMDR certification. If you were to ask others about Sarah, you would likely hear that she is authentic, easy going, funny and displays true grit in both her personal and professional life. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, socializing with friends, meeting new people, snowboarding and traveling.
