About Me
I work in agreement with the First Nation and Inuit Health Branch, providing counselling to people impacted directly and inter-generationally by residential school experiences and by missing and murdered Indigenous girls and women. I work primarily in the Beaufort Delta, NWT and specifically in the communities of Inuvik and Ulukhaktok.
Education & Experience
I have a Bachelor degree in Social Work and a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology. I am a Registered Social Worker, Certified Canadian Counsellor, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and I am an EMDR Certified Therapist. I have specialized training in First Nation and Inuit studies, clinical interventions for working in Indigenous communities and for working with the direct and intergenerational traumas inflicted by colonialism. I also have specialized training in attachment, parenting and in mindfulness. I have been working with Indigenous communities since 2006.
