About Me

Hi, I’m Shannon Haus, MS.Ed., LMHC, ADHD-PT, a licensed mental health counselor in Iowa with over 20 years of experience in education and counseling. I’ve worked in special education, K–12 classrooms, college settings, and as a school counselor, which gives me a broad understanding of how ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and life stressors affect people across different stages of life. I specialize in Adult ADHD and trauma treatment, offering practical psychoeducation and supportive strategies for individuals and families. As an ADHD Professional Trainer, I also help other professionals strengthen their work with ADHD. In therapy, I use an integrative, client-centered approach that may include CBT, ACT, and EMDR to help clients process painful experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and build resilience and lasting change. My goal is to provide a compassionate, effective space where you feel understood and empowered to move toward healing, clarity, and the life you want. I offer in-person counseling in Ankeny, Iowa, and telehealth services throughout Iowa. I’m also a member of the American Counseling Association, American School Counselor Association, and Association for Counselor Education and Supervision.
