About Me
I provide therapy for adults, older teens and couples. I use EMDR therapy and a mix of other therapeutic approaches such as ACT, IFS, and SFBT to help clients manage life stressors and to process past experiences that may be contributing to current challenges. I specialize in neurodiversity, and help neurodiverse clients to explore their strengths and to develop strategies for navigating a life with "invisible" differences.
Education & Experience
I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver, focusing in Marriage and Family Therapy. While raising a child diagnosed with autism (Asperger’s Syndrome,) I further trained in social cognition and autism. I have since received a Special Education Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and have become a certified LifeMAP AsperCoach with the Autism and Asperger Network (AANE), and I have trained in Social Thinking. I completed training for full certification in EMDR in 2021, and worked for four years in Community Mental Health in addition to private practice.
