About Me
I have been practicing EMDR since 2020, I have completed all training and consultation hours as well as 1 year of meeting with an EMDR consultant for EMDRIA certification which I am in process for and then plan to begin my consultant in training to train other EMDR therapists to enhance their skills, confidence, and understanding of integrating EMDR into their practices. I am a trauma specialist that utilizes a trauma informed approach in working with individuals 18 and up. In therapy we focus on reframing core beliefs that have impacted client views of themselves and the world around them that impact emotions, mental health, and relationships. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient care for substance dependency challenges, trauma, and transitional challenges. It is an honor to sit with individuals in their stories and to see the progress they make when their beliefs about themselves change. I believe every individual is worthy of therapy and worthy of the work! I am a trauma specialist that utilizes a trauma informed approach in working with individuals 18 and up. It would be an honor to help you see it too. In therapy sessions, I integrate EMDR, CBT, and person centered practices. I believe that having a style that is always adapting and changing to the benefit of the individuality of each client is important. Mindfulness, EMDR, + compassion are cornerstones of my approach as well. Free resources via instagram/fb at "therapythingswithsage"
