About Me

I am originally from Malaysia and come from very humble beginnings. In 2013, I left a career in finance to pursue my desire to bear witness to others who have undergone difficult life circumstances. Fast forward, I have 8+ years of experience learning manifestations of trauma and treating it. I am bi-cultural, and I have lived experience as a trauma survivor. My clients often say I am warm, genuine, funny, and direct. I am passionate about using proven treatments like EMDR along with a holistic and culturally sensitive lens to decrease symptoms and promote personal growth.

Education & Experience

Specialty training and experience with complex trauma, attachment, crisis work, and various mental health conditions. Before my graduate studies, I was trained in addiction assessment and treatment and volunteered with foster youth. My passion for learning about trauma led me to an immersion educational experience in Munich, Germany. I also have research experience related to post-traumatic conditions through my prior professional work at the Veterans Affairs (VA). Most of my experience has been with brave individuals who experienced multiple overwhelming and horrific life experiences and losses. I am also trained in Prolonged Exposure, another proven treatment for PTSD/trauma.
