About Me

I am originally from Malaysia and come from very humble beginnings. I have unique life experiences and professional experiences that have helped me successfully connect with people in my work. My clients often say I am warm, genuine, funny, and direct. I want to get to the root cause of the issue and see my client graduate from EMDR Therapy. I am passionate about using EMDR, other approaches unique to an individual, and a holistic approach to reduce symptoms and promote personal growth. I am also a neuroscience, research, and biofield sciences fanatic, constantly learning new ways to cultivate well-being. I am a big believer that what happened to you doesn't get to have the 'final say' in your life.

Education & Experience

10 years of experience in providing mental health services to various groups of people, including underserved communities, youth involved in justice and protective services, survivors of sexual exploitation and assault, and the military. Specialty training and experience with complex trauma, childhood trauma, sexual trauma, grief, and loss. I also received formal education in addiction assessment and treatment. My passion for learning about trauma and ways to treat it led me to an immersion educational experience in Munich, Germany. I also have research experience related to post-traumatic conditions through my prior professional work at the Veterans Affairs (VA). Most of my experience has been with brave individuals who have experienced multiple overwhelming and horrific life experiences and losses. I am also trained in Prolonged Exposure, another proven treatment for PTSD/trauma.
