Education & Experience

10 years of experience in providing mental health services to various groups of people, including underserved communities, youth involved in justice and protective services, survivors of sexual exploitation and assault, and the military. Specialty training and experience with complex trauma, childhood trauma, sexual trauma, grief, and loss. I also received formal education in addiction assessment and treatment. My passion for learning about trauma and ways to treat it led me to an immersion educational experience in Munich, Germany. I also have research experience related to post-traumatic conditions through my prior professional work at the Veterans Affairs (VA). Most of my experience has been with brave individuals who have experienced multiple overwhelming and horrific life experiences and losses. I am also trained in Prolonged Exposure, another proven treatment for PTSD/trauma.
