About Me
Sherri believes that healing is a journey. She is dedicated to providing a safe, nonjudgmental, comfortable environment while walking with adults of diverse backgrounds through the healing process. Sherri is a trained EMDR therapist who believes in developing trust in the therapeutic alliance and utilizing an EMDR approach (if appropriate) to assist clients with empowerment and healing. In her free time, Sherri enjoys outdoor activities, music, reading, traveling, sports and spending time with her family and Biewer Yorkie Terriers.
Education & Experience
Sherri Burruss completed her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Piedmont College. She is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia, a certified clinical trauma professional and an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapy clinician who is passionate about providing high-quality care. With over a decade of experience, Sherri has a solid clinical foundation specializing in trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, co-occurring disorders, and life transitions in the adult population.
