About Me
I’m glad you’ve found me! I’m Sheri and if you feel I may be a good fit for your needs I’d love to discuss it with you! I provide a safe, compassionate, open place for you to explore, learn, heal, and grow. I believe through the therapy process, all of us can shed negative messages, navigate hard experiences, heal from past wounds/trauma, feel more wise, confident, and vibrant, and discover (and love) our most authentic self! I work from a person-centered approach, meaning you get to be in the driver’s seat. I will offer options and you get to decide what is right for you. We will go at your pace as we focus on your priorities. I use various therapeutic modalities so that our work together can be tailored to your specific needs. Additionally, I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR,) a trauma focused modality, but find this to be a very effective and efficient modality for a wide variety of clients whether they feel they have experienced trauma or not. I also offer clients a safe space to incorporate their faith/spiritual beliefs into sessions for those to whom that is important and I have experience in working with clients who are seeking to heal from religion-based wounds/trauma. Regardless of the reason you are seeking therapy, I believe together we can accomplish your goals so you can feel more freedom, happiness, confidence, and authenticity. We all deserve to feel like we are living our best life! Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with licenses in Maryland, Virginia, and Rhode Island
