About Me

Dr. Sibylle Georgianna provides customized weekly therapy and intensives for individuals and couples in recovery from the consequences of sexual addiction and betrayal trauma. Sibylle's therapy including her intensives can cover a range of needs, including full disclosures with polygraph, couple's grief, and relational dynamics. Sibylle is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), a certified EMDR therapist, a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist, and a Certified Sex therapist. Sibylle has been trained in the Early Recovery Couple's Empathy Model (ERCEM) as well as in healing from enmeshed relationships (Overcomingenmeshment.com).

Education & Experience

Received Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Koblenz-Landau, Germany. Conducted leadership interventions for individuals seeking performance enhancement. Conducted individual and couple' s therapy with clients who struggle with sexual dysfunctions, sexual addictions, sexual pain, and sexual trauma. Conducted relaxation interventions with pelvic pain patients at Sarton Physical Therapy, Tustin, CA. Created and moderated confidential blogs for vaginismus patients (www.healthformyself.wordpress.com) and their partners (www.partnerplatform.wordpress.com). Teaching experience in graduate level courses such as Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Advanced Psychological Research Methods, Advanced Social Psychology, Educational Psychology, General Psychology, Human Sexual Behavior, Physiological Psychology, and Clinical Psychology (e.g., Neurotic, Stress, and Somatic Disorders).

Professional & Volunteer Affiliations

Supervised and mentored Graduate psychology students to present their psychological research at professional conferences (e.g., 2017, 2018, 2019 Creating Healthy Organizations Conference; 2019 WSCUC ARC Resource Conference; 2019 Ensure Justice Conference (Fall 2017-Spring 2019). Mentored psychology students to present posters on psychological research at the 4th Annual Irvine Valley College & Saddleback College Student Research Symposium (Fall 2015). Presented on "Healthy Sexual Boundaries for Adolescents" for continuing education of clinical psychologists and marriage and family therapists at InsightTreatment in Pasadena, CA (Summer 2014). Developed and coordinated a "surf-and-stats" extra curricular activity with Saddleback's Psi Beta and Psychology club students (since Summer 2013). Extra curricular activity included the analysis of a nautical dataset to predict the amount of fun a surfer can have based on the variables collected.
