About Me

I see mental health as more than just a collection of symptoms that need to be treated; I see it as an integral part of who we are. For me, mental health includes issues of identity such as how we see and understand ourselves, how we relate to others, how we experience fulfillment or lack thereof and how confident we are in our ability to address and overcome adversity. All these factors play a huge role in how we deal with our day-to-day problems and experiences, and in determining the quality of our lives as a whole. As such, I believe treatment means understanding and treating you as a fully human being- mind, body, heart, and soul. It extends past just treating your “symptoms” or diagnosis.
