About Me
Earlier in my career, I earned a PhD from the University of Toronto, specializing Christian theology and spiritual practices. I taught at universities and seminaries and served as a Lutheran pastor for many years. Encountering people who suffer and are searching for hope and healing inspired me to earn my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Much of my work focuses on people whose sense of justice or meaning or purpose has been devastated by trauma. Although retired from my pastoral work, I continue to explore ways to integrate mental health counseling and spiritual direction with my clients. I walk alongside them, helping them heal from their experiences and either recover or create a new sense of meaning and purpose in their lives.
