About Me
Steven Halady, PhD LCSW, completed his doctorate in Philosophy in 2010, and went back to complete his Masters of Social Work in 2015. Steven has worked in a variety of communities and capacities in social work, and now works with mental health private practice, where he also serves as Clinical Director and clinical supervisor. He has been engaged in teaching and training in various forms and contexts since 2005. He has been a memeber of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers since 2019, and has travelled across North America, Europe, and New Zealand to train providers from across six continents on topics that include trauma-informed training and services, working effectively with LGBTQIA+ communities, and the ethics of healthcare practice. Steven is a contributing author to 'Queering EMDR Therapy', and presented at the 2025 EMDRIA Conference on intergrating MI with EMDR. He lives in Buffalo, NY, USA with his husband and two cats.
