Susan Guttridge, BA, MC, CCC
About Me
Susan Guttridge has a master’s degree in counselling psychology and extensive post-graduate training in trauma therapy. She is registered with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association and is an EMDRIA certified therapist. Susan has been providing individual and group counselling for over 19 years. After working in the non-profit sector with children and families, Susan spent 7 years providing trauma therapy for individuals who experienced relational violence. Susan presently works in private practice as well as on contract with the Dr. G. Davidson Operational Stress Recovery Program in Vernon BC. Susan’s training and expertise is in working with post-traumatic stress, anxiety, panic, traumatic loss, depression, and life transitions. In addition to using the therapeutic approach EMDR, Susan is trained in narrative therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. Susan authored the book "Calm in the Storm: A Collection of Simple Strategies You Can Use Right Now to Shift Out of Anxiety", which is available for sale through the publisher (FriesenPress) and also on amazon.ca.
