About Me
Pulling from both personal and professional experience, I strive to create an environment that enhances and encourages growth through providing support and practical feedback. My approach to change is integrative and trauma-focused. I use both “top-down” (mind) and “bottom-up” (body) strategies, and my primary therapeutic method is EMDR.
Education & Experience
My education includes a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling and a post-graduate certificate in Addiction Studies. I am dually licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with the Behavioral Board of Health & Therapy in the state of Minnesota, specializing in co-occurring issues and trauma-informed practices. I have worked in private practice for over 10 years. Other related work experience consists of both direct and indirect roles in a variety of settings such as non-profits, public health crisis response, community-based mental health, and chemical dependency detoxification and outpatient treatment.
