About Me
My name is Tamara Pacheco and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work therapist in the state of Florida. I earned my Masters of Social Work degree from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. I served for 6.5 years in the Air Force until I separated honorably to pursue my passion for mental health. I met my husband while we were both serving and we have been together 10 years. We also have 2 dogs, Luna and Octavia, who fill our lives with joy and excitement. We moved to Palmetto, Fl in 2024 as our permanent home after moving around for so long to integrate into a community that we felt we could learn and grow in. Despite being a therapist, I struggled for a long time with my identity, my passion, and my purpose. One day, after going through therapy myself, something clicked and things just started making sense for me. That solidified my desire to help others gain their sense of purpose and joy in their lives by healing and growing. No matter what is causing the chaos in your life, I am here to help you on your journey. I am comfortable and confident working with a variety of clients and diagnoses but I fit best with clients that match my style. My style is direct, casual, empowering, and encouraging, and I am not afraid to challenge you when needed to help you achieve your goals. I believe that a relationship with one's therapist should be comfortable, friendly, and productive. I work to build a relationship with each client that allows space for them to feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings without judgement, encouraging the work to be done, and for each person to leave every session feeling as though they are closer to achieving their goals. Therapy can be scary and intimidating, which is why my goal is to challenge each person to grow while helping them appreciate the process along the way. Therapy is not linear and comes with ebbs and flows. By facilitating a safe and comfortable relationship with each client, I help to foster a space where we can face each obstacle together and you can come out feeling better than before. ***Please note I am only offering telehealth appointments at this time.
