About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) who truly enjoys what I get to do every day. I am originally from California but have called Colorado (Denver) my home for the last twelve years. While I do miss the ocean, I love being in the mountains and all they have to offer. Humor is just a part of me and will likely find its way into therapy (at appropriate times, of course). I am here and ready to help you move through and process the difficult things that may have happened or are currently going on in your life. I offer a non-judgmental and open space for you to share, feel safe, and work on the things that help you be the person you want to be. I believe that we are the experts on ourselves and what we need, but sometimes just need someone to guide us or help us through the difficult parts. I mostly use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic Experiencing (SE) as these can be very helpful in processing past traumatic or scary events. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and love to incorporate mindfulness techniques into my practice. Since I know that sometimes the reasons we come to therapy can be painful and difficult we will move at your pace and focus on what is important to you. I am licensed in, Colorado (LCSW and ACD), Indiana (LCSW), Nevada (LCSW) and Florida (LCSW telehealth only). I offer limited in person services in CO, and telehealth for CO, IN, NV and FL.
