About Me
Hi, I'm Ted. I'm a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I work with adults of all ages, focusing primarily on the role of trauma and how our life experiences affect us emotionally. I use elements of mindfulness, EMDR, CBT, and person-centered counseling. I would be happy to set up a consultation to discuss whether I would be a good fit as a therapist for you.
Education & Experience
I am currently working towards full certification in EMDR. I received my BA in English and Philosophy from Stonehill College, and my MS in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. I have completed intensive trainings in Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and EMDR. I have worked with adults in outpatient, intensive outpatient, community mental health, and private practice settings. I have experience working with first responders and healthcare workers, and previously worked as a first responder (EMT) for many years.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a member of the American Counseling Association and EMDRIA.
