About Me

I am the owner/director of Hope For The Journey, a group practice with offices in Austin and Round Rock, TX that specializes in trauma recovery, particularly sexual trauma both in-person and remotely across all of Texas. We aim to continually up our game in trauma recovery across Texas through individual, group, family, and online counseling options.

Education & Experience

Completed MSW at joint program with UNC-G and NCSU A&T in 2001. Worked in Child Welfare for two years before moving into more clinical work with child victims of sexual abuse and adolescent sexual offending. Worked in community mental health settings before beginning in private practice in 2006. Began developing a specialty in open adoption and working more and more with adults, particularly first responders and other helpers. Moved from NC to TX in 2015 and established private practice in Austin. Opened Hope For The Journey in Round Rock in 2019.
