About Me

Have you ever felt like: -You weren't "enough"? -The "other shoe" is going to drop? -You're constantly proving your worth to your job, friends, partner, family, or cultural community? -You were guilty and anxious when setting boundary with your parents? -Good things are not possible for you? If so, you might be trying to undo generations of intergenerational trauma. It is not your fault and it is not your burden to bear. You deserve to do what's best for yourself, even if you don't fit the box, label, or expectations that people put you in. Maybe you've struggled to belong in your community, but you belong right here! That's why I go by "The Bad Indian Therapist", because as someone who was raised Indian and Catholic, I also didn't quite know where I belonged and I struggled with the same things too. I use trauma therapy with South Asian American Women, Men, Nonbinary, and LGBTQ+ folx and those who come from insular communities (i.e. Mormon or Evangelical) who have survived cultural shame, violence, and adversity. Together, we can embrace authenticity, overcome feelings of shame and guilt, and help you define your unique relationship to your culture. Your background is only a small part of who are, it is not WHO you are! You are equally important and vital to the culture, even if others say you're not "good enough". So go on with yo' bad self! Let's be "bad" together! Email me to schedule your free intro call and let's see if I'm a good fit for you. Talk soon!
