About Me
Trish Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the College of Health Professions at Virginia Commonwealth University. Trish has experience working with individuals who have a history of sexual and domestic violence, TBI, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and substance use disorder. Having worked in a variety of settings that support people in crisis, offer counseling support to survivors of trauma, assist those in recovery from substance use disorder, and help individuals with TBI live an optimal life, she embraces the experience of meeting individuals where they are and moving side-by-side with them towards increasing self-awareness, psychological adjustment, and personal growth. Trish obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison University and a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University and is Certified EMDR Therapist.
