About Me
Hi, I am Ulyssicia and I have been a therapist since 2018. For the first 4-5 years of my career, I worked community mental health and later transitioned to group private practice. While I am trained in EMDR, I am also trained in DBT and perinatal mental health. I am EMDR certified and work towards becoming a consultant. I have been spending time studying complex trauma particularly attachment and dissociation to build on my specialties.
Education & Experience
I completed my 4 year degree for psychology at the University of Buffalo in 2011 and completed my master's degree at Medaille College (now University) in 2018. I have worked in the human service field for roughly 6 years before beginning my career as a LMHC. I worked with troubled youth working to modify their behaviors, individuals with developmental disabilities to modify behaviors, and manage mental health between 2013-2018. From 2018 to 2022 I worked Community Mental Health (where I also interned 2017-2018) until I transitioned full time into group private practice
