About Me
I am a trauma-informed, psychodynamically-oriented psychologist dedicated to helping clients lead more self-directed lives. I use a variety of approaches, including EMDR and mindfulness practice, to suit the needs of each client. With warmth and empathy as my guiding principles, I work to create a safe and nurturing environment in which clients can explore the root causes of stress, anxiety, and emotional pain in their lives so they can move forward and thrive. I work with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, perinatal mood disorders and personality disorders.
Education & Experience
I completed externships in adult inpatient psychiatry at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel and integrated college counseling at The New School. My internship training was at Columbia University Irving Medical School with rotations in perinatal mental health and adult inpatient psychiatry and my doctorate in clinical psychology is from the Derner School at Adelphi University. In addition, I studied radical listening with Carol Gilligan at NYU, using the Listening Guide methodology to complete a dissertation exploring the experiences of women who have reported sexual harassment in workplaces.
Professional & Volunteer Affiliations
I am a member of the Women's Mental Health Consortium, the New York State Psychology Association, and EMDRIA.
