About Me
Dr. Vassilia Binensztok, Ph.D. is a licensed and board-certified mental health counselor specializing in the treatment of adults with childhood trauma and anxiety disorders. She is the founder and owner of Juno Counseling and Wellness, a private group psychotherapy practice. Employing several therapists, the practice helps a wide array of people, including teens, couples, and children ages two and up. Dr. Binensztok holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University, and a Doctorate degree from Florida Atlantic University, as well as numerous certifications in trauma therapy, family therapy, and forensic evaluation. She has authored several counseling textbooks and peer-reviewed articles and serves as an affiliate professor of counseling for Northwestern University. Additionally, she supervises counseling students and interns, and runs a popular mental health Instagram account focusing on childhood trauma recovery. Dr. Binensztok is passionate about helping the local community. She is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County Engage (class of 2023), serves on the Board of Directors for Vita Nova and Pace Center for Girls, and serves on the Women’s Leadership Council of the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce. Juno Counseling and Wellness was recently voted as one of the top three counseling practices in Palm Beach County in the Palm Beach Post Best of the County awards, and Dr. Binensztok was a recipient of the prestigious Women’s Chamber of Commerce Giraffe Award.
