About Me

She is currently a school counselor and works with children K-5, serving student’s social-emotional needs in Uinta County. She is a trained EMDR clinician and specializes in trauma and helping individuals overcome post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD), anxiety, substance abuse, interpersonal problems, stress and coping, low self-esteem, grief and loss, phobias, and depression. She has experience working with various populations to include adults, adolescents, veterans, seniors, and those who have been incarcerated. What makes Victoria a unique therapist is that she is an Army Active Duty veteran, and has 15 years of law enforcement experience, making her a good fit for veterans, first responders, EMS, and emergency room staff. She is passionate to serve these populations and understands the true stressors and traumas of these occupations. Victoria’s approach to therapy is client-centered, psychoeducational, and provides clients with control over their treatment. Her philosophy is, that clients have the power to heal and take control over their lives; she facilitates healing by providing tools and evidence-based interventions. Victoria passionate to serve clients that are wanting help and willing to do the work. Her ideal client is someone who wants to overcome their past and willing to try new interventions, particularly EMDR, which is evidenced based and highly effective. Victoria wants to help clients achieve goals of reducing symptomology, negative thoughts, and pathology. Her approach is client-centered, and collaboration with the client to create and achieve goals at their pace. The therapeutic relationship is highly important to her and she strives to make clients feel safe, autonomous, and comfortable.
