About Me

Hi, I'm Virginia. I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2010, and I’m deeply passionate about helping my clients heal, grow, and reach their goals. My journey into this work was shaped early on—growing up on a dairy farm taught me the value of hard work and resilience, and being raised by a nurse inspired a deep compassion for others and a desire to make a difference. That calling led me to a career in the helping professions, where I’ve been honored to support individuals and families through life’s challenges. As a military wife, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of access to mental health care and the profound impact it can have. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space for that process.

Education & Experience

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from Castleton State University in 2010 and went on to complete my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Boise State University in 2020. Since beginning my career in 2010, I have worked extensively in community-based and in-home settings, supporting at-risk children and their families. These early experiences deepened my understanding of the pervasive and complex impact of trauma—not only on individuals, but also on families, systems, and communities. This awareness led me to seek out more effective, evidence-based approaches to trauma treatment. In 2022, I transitioned into outpatient therapy, where I now provide EMDR therapy as part of my clinical practice. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, and I am committed to helping individuals heal and thrive through compassionate and effective care.
