About Me

As a psychotherapist, I am driven by a deep commitment to fostering trust, empathy, and understanding in my therapeutic practice. With a multifaceted background as both a middle school teacher and a school social worker, I bring a wealth of experience in supporting individuals through various life transitions and challenges. My journey from education to social work has been shaped by a passion for empowering individuals to navigate life's complexities with resilience and compassion. Additionally, my experience in yoga and mindfulness has further enriched my understanding of the mind-body connection and the profound impact of holistic wellness on mental health. Central to my therapeutic approach is a steadfast dedication to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their innermost thoughts and emotions. As a second-generation immigrant myself, I am keenly aware of the cultural, familial, and societal dynamics that shape each person’s life. I pride myself on my open-mindedness and awareness of diverse perspectives and backgrounds, recognizing the unique challenges that people from varied cultural ethnicities often face in their journey towards identity and belonging. In addition to my commitment to providing support for individuals from diverse backgrounds, I am deeply invested in helping clients overcome challenges related to anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am currently pursuing my EMDR basic training, equipping myself with additional tools to assist clients in processing and healing from past traumas. In my practice, I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction therapy to provide comprehensive support tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals. My therapeutic style is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and collaboration. I believe in meeting clients where they are on their journey and tailoring interventions to suit their unique needs and goals. Whether you're seeking support in navigating life's transitions, coping with mental health challenges, or exploring trauma-informed care, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, understanding, and unwavering support. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and personal growth. It would be an honor to accompany you on this path towards greater well-being and fulfillment.
