About Me

Will Bomar is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Alabama and a mental health therapist at Clarity Counseling, where he provides individual and couples therapy for a variety of mental health concerns. His clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Will completed his EMDR training through the EMDR Institute, founded by Dr. Francine Shapiro, the originator and developer of EMDR therapy. He later received Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from The University of Alabama, with a focus on adults and families, and also holds a Master of Arts in Church Planting with an international concentration from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Outside of private practice, Will serves as a co-founder and co-coordinator of the West Alabama Trauma Recovery Network (TRN), a coalition of EMDR clinicians providing pro bono trauma treatment to first responders and law enforcement personnel in the community.
