EMDR Certified Therapist

About Me

My training in nutrition, counseling, and integrative wellness allows me to incorporate knowledge of the physiologic and nutrition processes that promote and contribute to healing. This combination of psychotherapy and integrative functional nutrition addresses treatment approaches for mental health disorders and nutrition issues in an innovative way. My expertise includes an integrative and functional approach to diabetes management and psychotherapy, behavioral and mental health dietetics and psychotherapy, along with Attachment-Focused EMDR for the treatment of trauma.

Education & Experience

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato where I earned a combined Baccalaureate of Science in both Dietetics and Food & Nutrition. Once I became a Registered Dietitian and started providing medical nutrition therapy to patients I noticed them hitting roadblocks when it came to achieving wellness. Often it was some type of trauma. So I then went on and completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University. Throughout my career, I have obtained various certifications in nutrition and mental health to stay abreast in each field and expand my knowledge. Learning truly is one of my hobbies.
